ROBERT JOSEPH KENDRICK

ROANOKE — Robert Joseph Kendrick, “Bob-Bob” age 71, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 in Roanoke. Mr. Kendrick was born in Logan, WV to George and Tennessee Phipps Kendrick. He was a 1968 graduate of Clintwood High School and a retiree of the United States Postal Service. Mr. Kendrick served his country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an avid UVA basketball and New York Yankees fan. He loved all animals.

Mr. Kendrick was preceded in death by his father, George Kendrick; two nieces, Amy Eldridge and Kim Kendrick Pratt and his K9 companion, Poco.

Survivors include his mother, Tennessee Kendrick of Clintwood; three brothers, Roy Kendrick and Sandy of Roanoke, Charles Kendrick and Leah of Salem, Ronald Kendrick and Jennifer of Clintwood; three sisters, Sue Riggle and Bob of Goode, Pat Phillips and Jon of Clintwood, Tammy Mullins and Carroll of Wise; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives.

Family received friends Sunday, November 28, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. A song service began at 7 p.m. Funeral services were conducted Monday, November 29 at 1 p.m. with Frank Hall officiating. Burial followed in the Phipps Memorial Cemetery, Clintwood. Pallbearers were Jimmy Kendrick, Robert Riggle, Jr., Charlie Kendrick, Robbie Kendrick, Boomer Kendrick, Grayson Kendrick, Josh Eldridge, Peyton Kendrick, Kevin Bolling, Dalton Mullins and Eric Bolling. Honorary pallbearers were nieces Melanie Riggle, Kaitlin Riggle, Trish Hall, Cleo Riggle and Kim Kendrick Pratt and Amy Eldridge in spirit.
