JERRY KENNITH DEEL

HAYSI - Jerry Kennith Deel, age 74 of Welcome Lane, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 at his residence. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Jimmy and Lula Deel Deel. He was a retired coal miner, member of UMWA #7170, and attended Mountain View Old Regular Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his wife, Janice Deel; two daughters, Heather (Randy) Yates of Haysi and Sarah (Wes) Bevins of Haysi; a brother, Garnie Deel of Bristol; grandchildren, Jacob Yates, Madison Yates, Taylor Bevins, and Ariana Bevins, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Mountain View Old Regular Baptist Church with Elders Andy Deel, Mark Justice, Jimmy Amos, and Roger Coleman officiating. Burial followed in the Mountain View Cemetery, Rakes Ridge. Family and friends served as pallbearers. The family received friends after 6 p.m. on Monday, November 8 at the church where an evening service was held at 7 p.m.  Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
