Opal Ramsey Fox, above, the daughter of Nola Davis Chapman, was sentenced to three years in the Women’s Reformatory at Rockwell City, Iowa, in 1940 along with her mother, Nola Davis Chapman. The photo appeared in the Des Moines Tribune on December 2, 1940.
