DEBORAH JEWELL COMPTON HILL

Deborah Jewell Compton Hill, age 69 of Let Me Drive passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tenn. She was a daughter of the late Ellis and Virgie Deel Compton. She was a homemaker and last employed as a truck driver. She was a member of the Splashdam Freewill Baptist Church and was a 1986 graduate of Southwest Virginia Community College. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Kate Kane and Nina Ruth Fain.

Survivors include her husband, Danny Hill; a son, Larry and his wife Dana Hill and their children Ashley and Clay all of Bennett, NC; a daughter, Heather and her husband Darrell Allen and their children Austin, Aaron and Alec all of Albemarle, NC; a brother, Ronald and his wife Debbie Compton of Mi. and her sisters, Patsy Atkins of Kingsport, Tenn. and Gloria Jean and her husband Norman Brakey of Mi. and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted 6 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Splashdam Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Sluss officiating.  A private graveside service will be held, Friday October 22, 2021 at the Bartley-Hill Cemetery, Haysi. Grandsons, Austin, Aaron, Alec and Clay will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. Thursday evening at the church prior to the funeral service.
