HAROLD ‘BUCK’ FREDRICK CHARLES

Harold “Buck” Fredrick Charles, age 70, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 at his residence. He was of the Christian faith. Buck was a retired coal miner and former UMWA Local president, a Past Master of Clintwood Masonic Lodge # 66, and a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Eunice Charles; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Selma Johnston and his grandparents, Pearl and Burl Stanley.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Robin Charles; son, Christopher Charles; daughter in-law, Angela Charles; grandson, Ethan Charles; granddaughter, Hannah Charles; siblings, Donald Mullins and wife, Lovada; Richard Charles and wife, Judy and Bobbie Davis and husband Jim; brother in-law, George Johnston and several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends, Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel. A Masonic service and a memorial service followed at 7:00 p.m. Roy Farmer and Bill Rose officiated. Online condolences may be made at www.mullinsfuneralhome.net.
