WILLIAM ELLIS OWENS JR.

William Ellis Owens, Jr. age 57 of Wrenwood Road, Haysi passed away August 10, 2021 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Ky.

He was the son of the late William Ellis and Annette Yates Owens. He was last employed as a welder and was of the Old Regular Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Karen Sue Owens.

He is survived by his wife Mary Owens; four daughters, Tracy Nichole (Zachary) Yates, Haysi, Candice Brooke Owens, Madison Kate Owens, and Dakota Noelle Owens, of the home; two grandchildren, William Grayson Yates and Alexandra Yates; two sisters, Brenda (Clayton) O’Quinn, Haysi and Marilyn (Buster) Mullins, Haysi; a brother, Larry (Barbara) Owens, Haysi; a host of family, friends and a special cousin, Scotty Owens also survive.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Haysi Funeral Home with Steve Lyall and Buster Mullins officiating. Burial followed in the Bailey-Owens Cemetery, Haysi. Chris Mullins, Michael Mullins, Ryan Mullins, Kermit Blankenship, Randy Blankenship, Clay Blankenship, Ronald Blankenship and Zachary Yates served as pallbearers.  The family received friends after 6 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the funeral home where a song service was held at 7 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
