Stalking the Wild Asparagus

Some twenty years ago when Wayne and Genevie Riner moved to Long Ridge, Wayne noticed wild asparagus growing alongside the road on Tom’s Creek where houses

once stood, and this asparagus still grows in our bed on our property and several of our neighbor’s houses. Asparagus can be found thanks to the birds

dispersing the berries.  Freshly picked asparagus is so much better than canned or grocery store kind. Wayne Riner photo.
