WILLIAM WESLEY FLEMING

William (Billy) Wesley Fleming age 55, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021. Billy was born in Michigan but had lived in Clintwood most of his life. He was a 1984 graduate of Clintwood High School. Billy was a heavy equipment operator in the strip mining industry. He was an avid Michigan football fan and loved being with his family. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Mountain View Freedom of Worship Church. Billy was preceded in death by his father, Denny Fleming.
Survivors include his mother, Billie Etta Fleming of Clintwood; daughter, Jade Fleming Stanley and husband Jeremy of Meadowview; granddaughter, Kendall Stanley and grandson, Wirth Stanley of Meadowview; brother, Brent Fleming of Clintwood; grandmother, Emma Jean Fleming of Harrisonburg; special friends, Rodney Davis, Tim Mullins, Jarod Dotson, Roger Dotson and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family received friends Friday, April 9 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services began at 7 p.m. with Tim Mullins officiating. A graveside service was held Saturday, April 10 at Noon at the Phipps Memorial Cemetery, Clintwood. Pallbearers were Jarod Dotson, Rodney Davis, Tim Mullins, Roger Dotson, Jarrod Salyer and Brent Fleming.
