EDMUND GEORGE EDWARDS

Edmund George Edwards age 85, passed away Friday, March 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.
He lived most of his life in Dickenson County, the son of the late Archie and Emma Edwards. He was a retired coal miner. He was a member of Valley View Freewill Baptist Church and served as a deacon for many years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Woodrow Edwards and a grandson, Parker Willis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Edna Gaye Edwards of Clintwood; son, Eddie and wife Michelle of Castlewood; daughter, Paula Vanover and husband David of Clintwood and daughter, Tammy Edwards and Parkis Willis of Caney Ridge; brothers, Wayne Edwards of Abingdon, Edna Thomas and Dale Edwards of Mi.; grandchildren, Evan Vanover and wife Sagan, Cameron Vanover, Taylor Sexton and husband Cody, Addison Vanover, Cloey Edwards, Layla Edwards, Autumn Willis, and Harper Willis.
The family received friends on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Valley View Freewill Baptist Church from 5-7 p.m. with a song service that followed. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 11:00 am with Lynn Vanover and Kelly Fleming officiating. Burial followed at Phipps Memorial Cemetery in Clintwood. Friends and family served as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were Deacons and members of Valley View Church.
