Electric pressure cooker class scheduled March 12

February 23, 2021

The Dickenson County Extension Office is hosting an Electric Pressure Cooker demonstration on March 12 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Is your new electric pressure cooker still in the box? Don’t own one, but would like to try before you buy? Do you want to learn how the new electric pressure cookers can change the way you make dinner? This will be a fun and hands-on class.  Participants will prepare and cook multiple recipes.  Once the cooking is complete, attendees will get to taste test the results.

The class will be held at the Coalfield Agricultural Center on Red Onion Mountain (449 Agriculture Drive, Clintwood, Virginia).  Registration is limited and pre-registration is required, along with a $10 registration fee. To register: call 276/926-4605 or email mkristie@vt.edu

The class will be taught by Sharon Rice, Extension Agent, FCS from the Russell County Extension Office and hosted by Kristie Mullins, Adult/Youth Program Assistant from the Dickenson County Extension Office.

Masks will be required and social distancing will be observed.

If you are a person with a disability and desire assistance or accommodation to participate in this activity, please notify the Dickenson County Extension Office at 926-4605 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to discuss accommodations at least 5 days prior to the event. TDD number is 800/828-1120.
