LINDSAY CATHERINE BELCHER DUFFY

Lindsay Catherine Belcher Duffy, of Simpsonville, SC formerly of Haysi, age 30, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 8, 2021.  She died along with her husband, John Stephen Duffy, in an automobile accident.  She was a loving wife and mother who had loved and served the Lord since her childhood. She was a precious daughter to her parents, a warm and caring sister to Lauryn, and she was cherished by her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Emmeryn Hannah Duffy; her parents, Walter and Melissa Belcher; her sister, Lauryn Belcher; her grandmother, Vera Owens; her aunts, Aline Tackett, and Judy (Wade) Hawkins; her uncle, Bruce Belcher; her cousin, Gracie and cousin Garrick (Katie) Tackett, with whom she grew up and who was like a brother to her and several cousins.

There was graveside service for her family and extended church family on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Owens-Tackett-Belcher Cemetery on Route 63, located near the Big Ridge Presbyterian Church with Pastor Anthony Dallison officiating.  Pallbearers were Jay Owens, Danny Sargent, Garrick Tackett, Matthew Owens, Kelly Rose and Stephen Ross.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Haysi Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
