RUBY HELEN PHIPPS

Ruby Helen Phipps age 86, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021. Ruby was born in Clintwood, the daughter of the late Calvin and Myrtle Kelly. She was a member of the Pine Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

Ruby loved fishing, camping, quilting and cooking for her family.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, J.C. Phipps; great- granddaughter, Ayla Beth Lyall; one sister, Betty Crouse; one brother, Dane Kelly; son-in-law, Maynard Mullins.

Ruby is survived by her daughters, Janice Mullins and husband Gary of Wise, Kay Lanier and Rita Jo Mullins of Clintwood; her brothers, Eugene Kelly and wife Cora, Jimmy Kelly and wife Henrietta of Clintwood; her sisters, Juanita Seal of Hayes, Barbara Childress and husband Richard and Dollie Webb of Clintwood; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, Ashaleigh Dane; her uncle Elder Stanley; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends including special friends, Shirley, Carolyn and Patty.

The family received friends Tuesday, February 23 beginning at Noon at the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. with Frank Hall officiating.
