FREDRICK RONALD SUTHERLAND JR.

Fredrick Ronald Sutherland, Jr., age 54 of Lynchburg, passed away at his home Friday, February 19, 2021. Born in Lynchburg, he was the son of Margaret Yates Sutherland and the late Fredrick Ronald Sutherland, Sr. He was of the Baptist faith and last worked as a gym supervisor for a physical therapist office. In addition to his father, he was preceded by his sister, Sandra Lynne Haag.

Survivors include his mother, Margaret of Lynchburg; aunts, Paige Sloan, Jewell Adkins, Michelle Sloan, Vivian Rockwell and Linda Powers and uncle, Ritchie Yates.

A graveside service was conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2021 in the Dewey Sutherland Cemetery, Lick Creek Road, Haysi, with Greg Edwards officiating.  The funeral procession left the funeral home at 1 p.m.  Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
