Small business loans offered

Dickenson County small businesses hurt by COVID-19 have another opportunity to obtain financing.

People Incorporated is offering a second round of loans to qualifying businesses, according to a Feb. 12 press release.

Loans can be for as little as $500 and up to $50,000, with terms from seven months to six years.

These are federal Small Business Administration microloans. During People Incorporated’s first round, from May-September 2020, 56 small businesses kept their doors open while the SBA made loan payments. The SBA will help borrowers make payments on qualifying loans that are closed between now and Sept. 30.

Loans are available in Dickenson, Russell, Buchanan and Washington counties along with Bristol.
