FRANCIS KAY FLEMING

Francis Kay Fleming age 80, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC on Tuesday, 15, 2020. Kay was born in Dickenson County and a 1959 graduate of Clintwood High School. She was a retired banker from First Community Bank in Clintwood and a member of Clintwood Baptist Church.
Kay was a wonderful mother, loving grandmother, loyal friend and a woman who loved her husband unconditionally, until her last breath. She is now in his arms again, pain free and welcomed into the Kingdom of the Lord.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Grace Fleming and her loving husband, Ronald “Bear” Fleming.
Survivors include her son, Steve Fleming and wife Theresa of King, NC; daughter, Rhonda Cobb and husband Jamie of King, NC; five grandchildren, Brandi and husband Justin of King, NC, Austin and wife Katelyn of Lillington, NC, Grayson of Charlotte, NC, Mason of King, NC and Nathan of King, NC; two great-grandchildren, Trevor and Chloe; one sister, Judy Gentry; several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current COVID 19 guidelines set forth by the governor of Virginia, a private entombment will be held at the Chapel of Love in the Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Dickenson County Food Bank, c/o Department of Social Services, 1280 Browning Hollow, Clintwood, VA 24228. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.clintwoodfuneralhome.com.
