Post-holiday school schedule approved

The county School Board Wednesday approved a schedule for the return to school following the Christmas break. All students will continue to have the option to be 100 percent remote.

Jan. 4 through Jan. 8 will be a virtual week for all students.

Jan. 11 through 15, the schools will return to the hybrid schedule. Wednesday will remain a virtual instruction day with deep cleaning/sanitizing and meal pickup occurring.

Monday, Jan. 18 will remain a teacher work day with no school scheduled.

Tuesday, Jan. 19 through Thursday, Jan. 21 will be face-to-face instructions with all students in Cohorts A and B. Friday, Jan. 22 will be the week’s virtual instruction day.

Beginning on Jan. 25, in-person students will return to four days per week of instructional study to replace the previous hybrid system. Fridays will remain the virtual instruction day.
