ELSIE THOMPSON

Elsie Thompson age 82, of Clintwood, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at her home. She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County.

Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Rosa Bell Baker; husband, Philetuef Thompson; brothers, Thomas Jefferson Baker and Lucky Rufus Baker; sisters, Flora Rose, Alkia Mae Bostic, Alpha Faye Haynes and two infant siblings, Emmitt and Winnie Baker.

Survivors include her brother, Alvin Baker, Jr. and wife Pina of Clintwood; special niece, Linda Stanley of Clintwood and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Elsie Thompson were conducted at 7 p.m. Monday evening, November 23, 2020 in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Hall and Josh Dingus officiating. The family received friends from 6 p.m. until service time. Burial followed graveside services 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Mullins Cemetery, Cutter Creek section of Clintwood. Pallbearers were family and friends. Services followed current Covid-19 regulations set forth by the State of Virginia.
