Clinchco Volunteer Fire Dept. Bass Tournament: Oct. 24 from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Flannagan Marina (no launch fee) Entry fee is $50/Boat and there is a 50% payback. Signup that evening on the boat dock.

Town of Clintwood: Trick or Treating will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Oct. 31.

Dickenson County Historical Society for sale: Stories of Yesteryear, Volumes 1 through 13. The newest booklet, Volume 13, is the Dave Hall Saga. Anyone interested in purchasing a copy of any of these booklets should call the Historical Society to make arrangements to pick-up a copy. Country Cabin II in Norton features: Country Cabin II in Norton features Oct. 17 Appalachian Strings from 7:30-10:30 p.m. $6 adults age 12 and over, $1 children age two through 11. Call 276/679-3541 for information. Music is performed in the big building which has open doors. We are following Virginia Covid-19 guidelines: social distancing, masks, etc. All events are sponsored by Appalachia Traditions, Inc., a non-profit organization.
