HARBIN O’QUIN

Harbin O’Quin, age 71, of Haysi, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020 at his residence. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of Bertha O’Quin and the late Elder Ervin O’Quin. He was of the Old Regular Baptist faith. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two  infant brothers, Perman O’Quin and Noah O’Quin.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by brothers, Hayes (Cassie) O’Quin and Cleovis O’Quin; a sister, Kamela (Monte) Deel; nephews, Jonathan (Ashley) O’Quin and David Brian (Krista) O’Quin; nieces, Elizabeth Wiles and Rebecca Deel and 12 great nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2020 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Mark Justice, Roger Coleman, Ralph Mullins, Aven Viers, Andy Deel, and Gordon Deel officiating. Burial followed in the O’Quin-Deel Cemetery, Haysi. Nephews, great nephews and Monte Deel served as pallbearers.  The family received friends after 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at the funeral home where an evening service was held at 7 p.m.   Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.  Haysi Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
