School reopening still on schedule

No motion was made at the Tuesday night Dickenson County School Board meeting to change the previously approved reopening plan. School will resume with a hybrid of in-person and remote learning. Cohort A students will return to school on Monday, Aug. 24. Cohort B students will return in Thursday, Aug. 27. Remote students will begin classes on Monday, Aug. 24. Those students need to make arrangements to pickup their Chromebooks on Friday. According to Superintendent Haydee Robinson, the schools will be in contact with students to advise of the times they can pick them up. In the meeting, it is stated that 41 percent of students have elected to go all-remote.
