Funds will help company go on

Chamber of Commerce and county tourism chief Rita Surratt, center, recently presented a business recovery grant to Monica Mullins, left, and Angie Davis of Olive Branch Day Spa in Clintwood. It was one of four Southwest Virginia companies that learned in July they would receive grants from the Southwest Virginia-Northeast Tennessee Local Business Recovery Fund. Local businesses were eligible to apply for a grant in the eight westernmost counties of Virginia along with Norton and Bristol and several Northeast Tennessee counties. Grants were awarded to businesses that have struggled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
