GAYNELLE SYKES

Gaynelle Sykes, age 89 passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born in Dickenson County and was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County. She attended the Old Regular Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Sykes, her parents, Floyd and Phoeba Turner; her sisters, Goldie Mitchell and Bertha Artrip; her brothers, Maloy Turner, Johnny B. Turner, Hansel Turner, Clarence Turner, George Turner, and Orby Turner.

Survivors include brothers, Charlie (Katy) Turner and Ray Turner and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at a later date. The pallbearers will be Austin Mullins, Dustin Mullins, Johnny Wayne Turner, Dave Turner, Donnie Turner, Ritchie Turner, and Daniel Turner.
