Long Ridge resident Genevie Riner says this young downy woodpecker flew through an open window of husband Wayne’s workshop recently. Wayne was able to catch the ‘totally confused’ bird and take it outside to see it free, but the creature took several bites of hand before it flew away! WAYNE RINER PHOTO
