The Town of Clintwood 4th of July: Parade at 7 p.m. and fireworks at dark. Anyone who would like to participate in the parade needs to call Town Hall at 926/8383. Please adhere to the COVID-19 regulations. Everyone have a safe holiday.
The Town of Honaker 4th of July: Fireworks will occur at 10 p.m., and entertainment will be provided via WXLZ 107.3 beginning at 8 p.m. with Cody Price and Killin’ Time Savage Outlaws. There will not be in-person entertainment or vendors. Spectators are asked to follow COVID-19 guidelines.
Mountain People and Places: July meeting canceled. Hoping we can all get back together sometime soon. I’m hoping this finds everyone well and in good spirits. If anything new comes up, we’ll be calling on the phone tree. Until next month, God watch over us all. Stay safe and be happy.

Dickenson County Historical Society for sale: Stories of Yesteryear, Volumes 1 through 13. The newest booklet, Volume 13, is the Dave Hall Saga. Anyone interested in purchasing a copy of any of these booklets should call the Historical Society to make arrangements to pick-up a copy. However, because of the present Covid19 situation, you must call the office to make sure that someone will be available for you to pick up a copy. Masks are required inside the building. Volunteers plan to be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The price of the booklets vary. For more information please contact our office at 276/926-6355, P. O.
