IVORY ELMO STEFFEY

Ivory Elmo Steffey age 88, passed away Tuesday May 26, 2020. He was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County. Mr. Steffey was a 60 year member of the Clintwood Masonic Lodge #66. He attended Hiwassee college and graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan. He retired from Ervinton High school in 1990 and was a Master Electrician and an avid golfer. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Airforce. Mr. Steffey was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Claude and Mary Emma Steffey; sister, Edith Lawyer and brothers A.C. (Bud) Steffey and Harry Lee Steffey.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Steffey; children, Jane Atkins and husband David of Wise, Emily Stacy and husband Donnie of Bristol, Va., Ivory Brian and wife Karen Steffey of Clintwood, John Steffey of Chester, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
There was a private memorial service Friday May 29, 2020 at 11 a.m conducted by Clintwood Masonic Lodge #66 with Pastor Joseph Fuller officiating at Mullins Funeral Home.
