BLANCHE CHAFFIN

Blanche Chaffin, age 76, of Counts Ridge in Dante, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at her home. Born in Russell County, she was a daughter of the late Hollis and Rachel Stevens. She was a homemaker and very active in helping with school concession in Dickenson and Wise. Clinch River Little League Athletic field was named in her honor. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Clayton Chaffin; sisters, Dorothy Taylor, Sylvia Wolf and brother, Harold Stevens.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Kiser (Charlie Osborne) of Dante and Crystal Hess (Mark Stanley) of Clintwood; sisters, Glenda Cromer (Eddie), Shirley Phillips (Arthur), Katherine French (Dean); a brother, Henry Stevens (Judy); grandchildren, James Kiser, Wesley Kiser, Timmy Hess, Destiny Hess and great-grandchildren, Bentley and Jade Kiser.
