LONNE RAYFORD COUNTS

Lonnie Rayford Counts age 77, of Dante, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 in the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Ky. Mr. Counts was born in Russell County but lived most of his life in Dickenson County. He was a member of Martins Chapel Church and an employee of Lambert Coal Company for 39 years. Mr. Counts was a loving husband, father and a friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Elsie Counts, two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Jenkins Counts of Dante; one son, Chad Counts of Dante; brothers, Jim Counts and Rita of Clintwood, Larry Counts and Betty of Clinchfield and Maynard Counts and Connie of Cleveland; one sister, Linda Chaffin of Cleveland; brother-in-law, Randy Jenkins and Roxie; sisters-in-law, Sue Murphy, Pam Crabtree, Cathy Freeman and Jerry; special grandchildren, Tryten, Brysen and Payslee Crabtree.

Due to the current COVID-19 regulations set by the CDC of no more than 10 people gathering at a time, a private graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 29 at Temple Hill Memorial Garden, Castlewood with Darrell Milgrim officiating.
