BESSIE JUSTINE CRABTREE DOTSON

Bessie Justine Crabtree Dotson age 90, of Clintwood, passed away Friday April 17, 2020 at the Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late Elder Grover C. Crabtree and Cordellia Short Crabtree. Mrs. Dotson had been a member of the Primitive Baptist Church since 1951. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her husband Noah M. Dotson, Jr.; grandson, Brent Dotson; brothers, Aron, Raymond, Thedford, Woodson, Burkley, Hurst and Bertrand Crabtree; her sisters, Gladys Mullins, Ella Stanley, Margaret England, Joyce Mullins and Gertrude Crabtree.

She is survived by her sons Freddie Dotson of Clintwood and Gary Dotson of Castlewood; her sister, Clercie Mullins of NC.; one granddaughter, Stephanie Hawkins and two great-grandchildren, Emily Hawkins and Joshua Brent Hawkins; special friend Gail Hayes; special nieces, Helen Martin and Gerry Hinte; special friend, Yvonne Stallard, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to send a special thank you to all the caregivers.

Due to the current COVID-19 regulations set by the CDC of no more than 10 people gathering at a time, the family had a private graveside service at the Crabtree Family Cemetery Monday April 20, 2020. Elder Ezra Davis conducted the service.
