Winter sports leadership award overall winners announced

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the following “stay at home” order issued by Governor Northam, we were unable to have a winter sports banquet to honor our weekly sports leadership award winners. But, that is not going to stop us here at the Coalfield Progress from celebrating our winners.

Last week, we invited the athletes to stop by and pick up their awards if they felt safe doing so. We have also included a gift certificate to Prime Sirloin to be used after the order has been lifted.

This season’s overall winners were Central’s Isaiah McAmis and Eastside’s Kaylee Yates. Weekly winners who have stopped by are Ridgeview’s Brooklyn Frazier, Gabe Brown, Hailey Sutherland and Cassidy Thomas.
