List of business resources started
The Dickenson County Chamber of Commerce has been working to put together a list of COVID-19 resources for our businesses.
We have developed a page dedicated to that information on our chamber website at www.dickensonchamber.net and we also have put other information, such as food venues who have carry out service with their phone numbers listed. We hope this information will be of help to our citizens and businesses in the county.
We recently put together a COVID-19 resource Zoom meeting and many of our business folks attended this meeting to find out more information on how to apply for the SBA loans, VEC, and the federal stimulus program. Thanks to Margie Douglass, SBDC-SWCC program manager, Glenda Carter, Virginia Employment Commission, Rhonda Vandyke and Michele Lowe with PTAC for conducting the meeting and, to all the attendees, we hope you were able to get some valuable information at this meeting.
We encourage everyone to continue to use precaution when going out in public and be sure to use a mask or cover on your nose and mouth and keep your distance from others. As I write this, Dickenson County has been fortunate not to have a coronavirus case in the county as of yet and we hope to continue not to see one. Unfortunately, most of our neighboring counties have at least one case, with the exception of Scott County and the city of Norton.
Please let us know if you have a question or if there is some type of meeting (Zoom) you would like for us to put together in the coming days. We will continue to work with other organizations in finding out valuable information we can pass on to you. We value all our businesses here in the county and want to help in any way we can to promote you and help you find resources during this crisis. Just give us a call at 276/926-6074 or email chamber@dcwin.org if we can help.
