The Wall That Heals visit to Grundy postponed
The Wall That Heals visit to the Grundy area originally planned for April 23-26 has been postponed. The event, hosted by Riding It Forward, Inc., would have brought the preeminent three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to the area for Vietnam veterans, family members and other members of the public to see. While a new date for the event has not yet been set, dates in 2021 to reschedule it are being considered now and will be announced in the future.
“While we are disappointed, this decision is one Riding It Forward, Inc. and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund made jointly,” said Riding It Forward, Inc. President Betty Compton. “Given current precautions recommended statewide in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to postpone the April visit out of an abundance of caution for our visitors and our volunteers.”
