Sharline Sutherland passed away at her home on Sunday, March 29, 2020, at the age of 81. She was born to Freeman Mullins and Dorothy Sluss Mullins on December 21, 1938. She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County.

She leaves behind to mourn her loss special friends, Theta Artrip and Regina Ross; and special caregivers, Denise Isom and Jeffery Mullins.

Sharline lived in Clintwood and the surrounding area all her life. Throughout her life, she made lots of friends through her work in the public sector. She worked until she became disabled. Her main hobby was creating imaginative, colorful quilts for both humans and pets. She also loved to fish.

Her friends for the past few years were Rufus Jane and Bonnie Lynne. They were her babies (fur babies). She was devoted to them and made them quilts for their beds. They were her pride and joy.

A small graveside service in keeping with Governor Northram’s executive order will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at 1 p.m. at The Dutton-Sutherland Cemetery, Wildcat Ridge Section of Clintwood, in sight of her homeplace. Joe Glenn Sluss will officiate. Burial will follow.
