HAZEL ‘HAZE’ ROSE
Hazel “Haze” Rose, age 72, of Haysi, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at her home. Haze was born March 6, 1948 and grew up in the Bartlick area. She was a daughter of the late Emmitt and Mazie Mullins Fleming. She was a homemaker and member of Emanuel Old Regular Baptist church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Noah, Clayton, Patton, Farley, Willie and a sister, Bea Fleming.
Haze had two daughters, Karen (Donald) Coleman and Shiloh Rose and a son, Aaron Rose. Haze had eight grandchildren, two great-granddaughters and two companions she loved dearly, Yorkie and Taco Bella her two dogs, a sister, Mandy Fleming and two brothers, Edd Fleming and Mack Fleming.
Haze was a Christian woman. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She loved Chinese food and the Tennessee Vols. Her favorite pastime at home included feeding the birds and deer in front of her home. To her grandchildren she was “Granny Haze.” Granny Haze was the best at back rubs, buying all things sparkly and shiny for her girls and never passed on a good Facebook yard sale bargain. Haze has left an impact on many hearts and people. She will be missed and thought of often by all those who knew her.
A graveside service was conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday, March 15, at Mitchell-Senter Cemetery, Haysi with Elder Buster Mullins officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Online condolences may be sent to http://www.haysifuneral.com.
