Sol Hall, the brother of Dave Hall, related to his family his version of the ambush and events that followed. Sol was also in attendance at the special memorial service held for the deceased members of the Hall family and, according to family stories, led John Artrip up Laurel Point so that he could visit with Dave Hall, the escapee.
