NEVA LEE OSBORNE

Neva Lee Osborne, age 85, of Clintwood, went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 30, 2019 at her home. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Noah and Alpha Colley Yates. She was last employed as an assistant store manager for Sam’s Deli. Neva Lee was baptized April 16, 1967 and joined Splashdam Freewill Baptist Church February 14, 1988. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Dee Osborne; brothers, Harold and James Yates; sisters, Beth Dingus, Lura Phillips and Dinah Deel; brothers-in-law, Fred Phillips, Chad Barton, Bill Edwards, Bill Mondrage, Willard Deel and sister-in-law, Ruth Yates.
Survivors include her sons, Steven (Gladys) Osborne of Pound, Michael (April) Osborne of Clintwood and Floyd (April) Osborne of Haysi; grandchildren, Nicholas (Brittney) Osborne of Pound, Miles (Kathlyn) Osborne and Alec (Brittney) Osborne both of Clintwood, Hannah (Grant) Wallace of Grundy, Anna Rose (Patrick) Yates of Clinchco and Bodhi Osborne of Haysi; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Trula Edwards of Wise, Patsy Barton of Haysi and Becky Mondrage of Bristol; a brother-in-law, Doyle Dingus of Kingsport and sister-in-law, Eula Yates of Coppers Cove, Tex. and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2020 at Splashdam Freewill Baptist Church with Danny Sluss and Darrell Milgrim officiating. Burial will follow in Rebecca Willis Cemetery, Haysi. Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law. The family received friends after 5 p.m. on Thursday at the church with an evening service at 7 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
