BOBBY CHASE STONE

Bobby Chase Stone age 71, of Clintwood, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, December 23, 2019, with his loving family by his side. Mr. Stone was a member of Valley View Freewill Baptist Church and served as a deacon for many years. He was a lifelong resident of Clintwood and a 1968 graduate of Clintwood High School. He was a retired coal miner and enjoyed fishing and cattle farming. Mr. Stone was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roley and Irene Stone.

Survivors include his wife Karen Fleming Stone of Clintwood; 2 sons, Brian Stone and wife Sherrie of Castlewood and Eric Stone and wife Nancy of Clintwood; 3 grandchildren, Houston Groseclose, Amber Reynolds and April Mullins and 1 great-granddaughter, Amelia Grace Mullins; 3 sisters, Betty Jo Whitt of Hazel Park, Mi., Jettie Warrick and husband Larry of Monticello, Ky., Sherry Mullins and husband Randy of Clintwood; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family received friends Thursday, December 26th, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Valley View Freewill Baptist Church. A song service began at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 27th, 1 p.m., at the church, with Lynn Vanover and Lester Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Stone Family Cemetery, South Mountain Road. Pallbearers will be Brian Stone, Eric Stone, Cameron Escoffery, Justin Mullins, Nick Mullins, Michael Miller, Brandon Fleming, Wes Meade and Chris Stone. Honorary pallbearers are Deacons of Valley View Church, Ed Stanley and sons, J. J.
