According to the newspaper, those pictured from left to right are: United States Marshal Mart Potter; Riley Hall, brother of Dave Hall and one of the alleged ambushers; Officer Cook; Dave Hall, the alleged principal ambusher; and Deputy U. S. Marshal Bill Fields. The above microfilmed newspaper photo is over 106 years old which explains why the quality is not very good!
