New rules regarding the Town of Clintwood Christmas parade

November 19, 2019

There will be a new route used this year for those participating in the Christmas parade on Saturday, December 7. Line up begins at 5 p.m. and the parade will begin at 6 p.m.

Like every year the parade route will begin at the west end of Clintwood with the line up on the old road as usual. However, the parade will stop at the Main Street/Foxtown intersection with the floats continuing to Clintwood Elementary school parking lot and then proceed to disburse.

Any horses, recreational vehicles, 4-wheelers, ATV, golf carts, etc., will turn on Market Street (beside Advance Auto) and travel the back road to the courthouse and disburse there. All recreational vehicle trailers will need to come to the courthouse and load after the parade. Police personnel will be available for assistance if needed. Please make plans accordingly.

Those walking in the parade are welcome to stop at the Wells Fargo bank and walk across the bridge to get to Christmas in the Park if they wish.

There floats will have two first prize winners of $300. Second place will be $200 and third place will be $100.

Anyone wishing to register a float or participate in the parade or if you have questions please call the Town Hall at 276/926-8383.

We hope to see everyone out for a night of fun!
