Cattle farmer has long list of questions about elk plan

Mike Yates, shown here with some of his cattle on Lower Georges Fork, has raised the livestock most of his life. Yates is strongly opposed to a Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries' proposal to transplant 200 elk over a three-year period into Dickenson, Buchanan and Wise counties. He fears the elk will cause damage to his fences and property and spread disease to local cattle.
