Yates wins commissioner's seat

It may not be evident from this photo, but these gentlemen were opponents in yesterday’s special election for county Commissioner of Revenue. Republican Mike Yates (left) and Democrat Eddie Monahan began their campaigns as old friends and ended it that way, both men said after the election. Only 115 votes separated the two candidates, according to unofficial results, with Yates coming out the winner.
