Mavis Triplett Sowards of Clintwood won first place in the storytelling contest at the ‘Seniors in the Glades’ event sponsored by Wise County Home Health and Hospice/Dickenson County Home Health and Hospice and the Town of Wise Fall Fling Planning Committee. Sowards received a certificate, a $100 cash prize, and her winning story was read on WDIC Radio.
