Mountain Empire Community College has announced the fall 2015 cohort of Licensed Practical Nursing students. The 21 students were selected for placement in the cohort based on academic performance in both classroom and lab skills competencies. The students are currently enrolled in on-campus coursework and will complete their training in August of 2015 at local medical centers including Wellmont Lonesome Pine Hospital, Wise Heritage Hall, Russell County Medical Center, The Laurels in Richlands, and Cumberland Mountain House.
