End-of-year inspiration

On Wednesday, May 13, about 150 third and fourth grade students from Clintwood Elementary School launched balloons, as the rest of the student body watched, to celebrate the beginning of Standards of Learning testing. The students had previously written notes of inspiration to themselves and their classmates and placed those inside the balloons. Everyone enjoyed watching the colorful balloons as they climbed higher and higher against a cloudless blue sky. Third and fourth graders tried to keep track of their balloons until they were no longer visible.
