Haysi Post Office employees were among postal workers who participated in the ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ drive on Saturday, May 9. The United States Postal Service and National Association of Letter Carriers holds the event the second Saturday of each May. Haysi employees collected 1,640 pounds of food during the drive. Pictured with some of the food collected are Amanda Boyd (left) and Amanda Turner. Also taking part were Marie O’Quinn, Kay Edwards and Wesley Conaway. ‘We want to thank everyone in the community that made a donation,’ said postmaster Avery Yates.
