Until around early December, this space at Clintwood’s west end and another site at Sandlick near Haysi were occupied by one box trailer each, allowing local residents to drop off recyclable items like paper, cardboard and plastic bottles and jugs at their convenience. However, the company that owned the trailers determined it was no longer feasible to continue offering the service in the county. The litter control office and board of supervisors hope to soon have other trailers at the locations, however.
