Ridgeview students shows solar initiative at fair

Ridgeview High School junior Brayden Carty of McClure, at left, watches freshman Garrett Owens of Haysi demonstrate a robot that the robotics club built. It fires plastic balls at a basketball goal as part of a game. The robot, which students built over a two-week period, hopefully will soon have a solar panel charging system for its battery, Carty explained.
