Appalachian Power to upgrade grid in northern Dickenson County

The Appalachian Power website says the typical structure along the route will be a steel H-Frame, here, that is about 100 feet tall. The typical right-of-way will be 100 feet wide. The website notes Appalachian Power's commitment "to carefully balancing the energy needs of homes and businesses while protecting the environment and natural beauty of the region."
