    The object of this suit is to enforce the lien of the Complainant, County of Dickenson, Virginia, for delinquent real estate taxes against certain real property located in the County of Dickenson, Virginia, described as follows:

Account No. 4237

    All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land, with all the appurtenances thereto belonging, situate, lying and being on Hill Ridge of Big Ridge, in Dickenson County, Virginia, and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:

     Beginning on a large locust on west side of a private road below the dwelling now or formerly own by Covey French and old corner to the tract of land now or formerly owned by Ralph Hill; thence with Ralph Hill line reversed S. 57 50 W 237.89 feet to a 18” black walnut in hollow that forks about 3 feet above ground and 6.5 feet below 10 inch poplar and 12 feet above a 10 inch black walnut; thence leaving the old line S 41 30 E 156.02 feet to a large black oak in hollow; thence leaving hollow S 73 10 E 187.56 feet to a 10 inch sassafras on west side of old road ( this point being S 08 35 W 34.70 feet from center of A. P. Co. pole No. 411-75); thence running on west side of old road N 46 10 E 168.18 feet to a large locust on ridge; thence down the hill N 15 32 E 310.20 feet to a 18 inch cracked marked poplar; thence around the hill S 84 50 W 76.50 feet to a marked 15 inch poplar; thence S 79 15 W 129.94 feet to a large locust; S 45 20 W 115.42 feet the beginning, containing 2.49 acres, more or less. 

   Being the same property conveyed to Cova French and Merrell Sue French, husband and wife, as tenants by the entirety with the right of survivorship as at common law, by Deed from Gusta Hill (widow); Pauline Hill Jackson and Alden Jackson, her husband; Maggie Hill (Single); Ray Hill and Ellen Hill, is wife; Harold Hill and Anna Jean Hill, his wife; Alva Lee Fleming and Lillian Fleming, his wife; Darrell Hill and Patsy Hill, his wife; Carroll Hill and Betty Hill, his wife; and Ralph Hill (single), dated May 7, 1980 and recorded among the land records of the Circuit Court of Dickenson County, Virginia on February 26, 1981 in Deed Book 206 at Page 707. The said Cova French departed this life on June 21, 1983, and by operation of law, full interest in the subject property is vested in Merrell Sue French.

    This description is made subject to all easements, conditions, agreements, restrictions, and reservations of record which affect the property herein described including but not limited to those recorded in Deed Book 133 at Page 19, and Deed Book 221 at Page 449.

     IT APPEARING that an Affidavit has been made and filed stating that due diligence has been used, without effect, to ascertain the identity and location of certain parties to be served, that the last known addresses for the Respondents herein are as follows: Merril Sue French, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is  unknown; Covey Jack French, Jr. , who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is  unknown; Mackie French, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is  unknown; Clinton Ray French, whose last known address is 4086 Skeetrock Road, Clintwood, Virginia 24228; and that any officers, heirs, devisees, and successors in title of the Respondent named herein are made parties Respondent to this action individually and/or by the general description of Parties Unknown, it is hereby 

     ORDERED that the parties herein and all Parties Unknown and/or whose location cannot be ascertained appear on or before August 29, 2026  in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of the County of Dickenson, Virginia, and do what may be necessary to protect their interests in this cause.
