REQUEST FOR

PROPOSALS

The Cumberland Plateau Regional Waste Management Authority (Buchanan, Dickenson and Russell Counties) is seeking proposals from qualified Attorney or Law firms to 1) provide legal services and 2) to provide consultation for contracts and legal documents at the request of the Board of Directors and their Executive Director.

For any interested firm wishing to respond, a copy of the 2026 CPRWMA Request For Proposal (RFP), can be obtained by requesting a Cumberland Plateau Regional Waste Management Authority RFP at

or picking up a copy at 135 Highland Drive, Suite C, Lebanon, VA 24266 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

Evaluation Criteria for individuals or firms responding include but not limited to:

1. Experience of firm with similar projects and working with local government.

2. Consulting experience with public and private agencies (local, regional, state and federal).

3. Similar projects with local, state and federal agencies.

4. Ability to begin and complete projects quickly.

5. Cost for case-by-case basis.

Deadline for submission is 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2026. The CPRWMA will be conducting Competitive Negotiation in accordance with 2.2-4300 of the Code of Virginia (as amended) (The Virginia Public Procurement Act) and reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
