Baden Reclamation Company, Inc. of 302 South Jefferson St, Roanoke, VA 24011 is applying for Renewal of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) PERMIT No. 0081953.
NPDES Permit Number 0081953, located approximately 0.2 miles NE of Baden on George’s Fork in Dickenson County, Virginia. The permit has 20 NPDES outfalls that are shown on the (Surface Water Hydrology map) that discharge surface mine drainage into George’s Fork and Camp Creek.
The permit has twenty NPDES outfalls, 001, 002, 005, 006, 007, 008, 009, 010, 011, 012, 013, 014, 015, 016, 017, 018, 019, 020, 021, & 022, whose locations are shown on the (Surface Water Hydrology Map) in Section 21.2 that discharge surface mine drainage into George’s Fork and Camp Creek. This permit consists of 565.88 acres and can be found on the Jenkins East Virginia USGS quadrangle at 3599898.3589 Northing and 10308604.0847 Easting.
Any person with a valid legal interest which might be adversely affected by this proposal, or an officer or head of any federal, state or local government agency or authority, may within 30 days of October 29, 2025 submit written comments or objections concerning this application, and may also request, in writing, that the Mined Land Repurposing Program hold an Informal Conference concerning this application.
